Why 1997’s Titanic Remains the Most Iconic Film of All Time

“I’ll never let you go Jack!” Ahhhh, tear jerker! Yes, when we think of the most iconic films of all

time, Titanic (1997) instantly comes to mind. C’mon, it’s no coincidence that it came from the

unforgettable decade that was the 1990s.

What truly sets Titanic apart is how deeply rooted it is in the fabric of the 90s. It represented the

height of 90s blockbuster filmmaking! I mean talk about its massive budgets ayeeee, crazy

effects, and the focus on the epic love story that stole our teeny-bopper hearts. The soundtrack,

led by Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” (I handwrote the lyrics to this song in my diary)

became an anthem for not only this decade but decades to come!

Even in 2025, yes current day, Titanic remains the benchmark for epic cinema, breaking box

office records, winning 11 Academy Awards, and living on through memes, fan theories, and

repeat viewings. For 90s kids, it wasn’t just a movie, it was a moment that stopped time! I mean,

I think we all remember where we were when we saw this trailer for the first time.

We’ve shared why Titanic still rules the seas of cinema, but now it’s your turn! Do you think
